meta_humanistikaThe Centre for European perspective (CEP) was today visited by the group of participants of the Mediterranean Summer School of Theoretical and Applied Humanities. The participants were welcomed by the CEP Secretary General Andrej Vrčon and CEP Programme Director Andreja Dolničar Jeraj. Ms Andreja Horvat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia joined as a special guest.

Secretary General Vrčon and Programme Director Dolničar Jeraj presented the organization and the work of CEP, together with past and current CEP projects. Ms Horvat made a presentation of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership / Barcelona process. She especially emphasized the role of the Republic of Slovenia during the Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council.

The META Humanities 2009 Summer School is a two-week international program in English with interdisciplinary approach to humanities and sociological topics. Participants are undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers and teachers in humanities and social sciences. This year's topic is »Waters in the Mediterranean«.
The summer school has been organised by the Faculty of Humanities Koper, University of Primorska, from 29 June to 10 July, 2009.
