Napotitve_gasilska_ministricaMinister of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia Katarina Kresal visited CEP's core course for civil servants for EU Civilian Crisis Management Missions, that is currently being conducted in the Police Training Centre in Gotenica. The minister expressed her support to the course and wished luck to all future civilian missions members who are participating in the course.

 

The second week of the EU standardized core course is taking part in the Police Training Centre in Gotenica. Minister Kresal stressed the need for Civilian Crisis Management Missions courses and expressed belief that all participants will be well-prepared future mission members competently representing Slovenia abroad. "Slovenia is a small, but stable and credible partner in conducting civilian missions," she told.

The programme director of CEP Andreja Dolničar Jeraj expressed great appreciation to minister Kresal for the unselfish sharing of practical experience from the Slovenian Police with CEP. Six of the trainers in the course are police officers with first-hand experience from the missions.

The intensive 14-day training will equip participants with a comprehensive knowledge and skills needed when seconded to the civilian missions. The training CEP organizes in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia takes place at CEP headquarters and Police Training Centre in Gotenica between 8 and 21 November 2010.
