In the framework of CEP project "European Affairs Training for Public Administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina" several experts from Slovenian Veterinary Administration have recently conducted working visits in BiH, engaging in talks with representatives of BiH government regarding the necessary veterinary legislation change and laboratory food inspection.
Weekly newspaper Sobodna Bosna published an interview with Slovenian expert on EU affairs, deputy ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Sarajevo David Brozina on significance of Slovenian veterinary specialists in the field of food security improvement in BiH
Brozina highlighted the importance of the project for food safety and BiH’s compliance with the EU standards. He believes the cooperation between the experts of the two countries has been very successful so far. However, the system of efficient inspection control still needs to be improved in order for BiH to meet standards for food export to the EU countries.
