The second phase of ENTRi began in April 2013 and is set to run until March 2016. ENTRi is a unique capacity-building programme that was initiated in early 2011. The main focus lies on the preparation and training of civilians that are either going to or already working in crisis management missions worldwide. It is funded by the European Commission (90%) and co-funded by its 13 implementing partners, led by the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF) in Berlin. CEP as a Slovenian representative in the ENTRi consortium attended the first partner meeting of the second phase in Berlin on 23 May to discuss the forthcoming activities within the consortium.
After several successfully organised civilian crisis management courses so far, CEP plans to organise a Kosovo pre-deployment course in the second week of September 2013, a Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) in October 2013 and another specialisation course to be announced. Besides the courses, CEP will also be leading the working group on Training Impact Evaluation.
Exact dates of the courses will be published on CEP and ENTRi (http://www.entriforccm.eu/) page soon. Please do not hesitate to address any further questions you might have on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
