PODIM pre-event at HUB387
On 8th of April Center for European Perspective together with Sarajevo IT Park, HUB387 (www.hub387.com) and Slovenian ABC accelerator (https://abc-accelerator.com/) held a workshop at the premises of Academy387 in Sarajevo, BiH.
The aim of the workshop was to prepare young people from BiH to successfully apply for the Podim challenge that will be held in Maribor on 11th and 12th of May. Workshop was attended by almost 40 young people and was opened by welcoming speech delivered by CEP. It continued with a short presentation of Podim challenge itself and the steps of the application process. Short presentation on the success of the startups and how can BiH startups benefit from ABC Accelerator program in their growth followed.
After the coffee-break workshop continued with a guided discussion on What does it mean to be and have a startup, while 5 participants took the opportunity to present their startups and gain the feedback from ABC Accelerator experts. Official part concluded with a presentation of a special offer for BiH, where up to 30 individuals from BiH will be able to gain free attendance at Podim challenge. At the same time they will be provided with a complete logistical package, including all the travels, accommodation, nutrition and additional, one day programme after Podim, in Ljubljana. The application deadline for this offer is April 15th, while the selection will be done by April 29th 2016. Participants were also greeted by the Slovenian Ambassador H.E Iztok Grmek and Gregor Presker Minister Councellor, Economic adviser.
Participants had an opportunity to further discuss informally over dinner.

Naložbene priložnosti in priložnosti za rast BiH START-UPov v Sloveniji in alpsko-sredozemski regiji
PODIM pred-dogodek v HUB387
8. aprila je Center za evropsko prihodnost, skupaj s Sarajevskim IT parkom, HUBom387 in Slovenskim ABC pospeševalnikom organiziral kratko delavnico v prostorih Akademije387 v Sarajevu, BiH.
Namen delavnice je bil pripraviti mlade iz BiH na uspešno prijavo na Podim challenge, ki bo 11. in 12. maja v Mariboru v Sloveniji. Delavnice se je udeležilo skoraj 40 mladih, ki so bili uvodno nagovorjeni s strani CEP-a. Nadaljevala se je s kratko predstavitvijo Podim challenge-a samega in postopkov prijave na izziv. Sledila je kratka predstavitev o uspehih start-upov in kako lahko BiH start-upi izkoristijo priložnosti, ki jim jih ponuja program ABC pospeševalnika za svojo rast.
Po kratkem odmoru za kavo se je delavnica nadaljevala z vodeno razpravo o tem kaj pomeni biti in imeti start-up, 5 udeležencev pa je tudi izkoristilo priložnost, da predstavijo svoje start-upe in pridobijo povratne informacije s strani ABC strokovnjakov. Uradni del se je zaključil s predstavitvijo posebne priložnosti za BiH start-upe, kjer bo do 30 mladih dobilo možnost brezplačne udeležbe na Podim challengu, prav tako bodo imeli krite potne stroške, bivanje in hrano ter dodaten dan programa v Ljubljani. Rok za prijavo za to priložnost je 15. april, rezultati pa bodo znani 29. aprila. Prijavnica ter postopek prijave so dostopni na: http://www.podim.org/en-us/podim-for-bih.
Udeležence sta pozdravila tudi slovenski ambasador nj. eksc. mag. Iztok Grmek in minister Gregor Presker, ekonomski svetovalec na veleposlaništvu RS v Sarajevu.
Po zaključku uradnega dela so imeli udeleženci priložnost neformalno poklepetati še ob večerji.
