IMG 0859Between 11th and 13th of May 2016, 50 young people, 30 from BiH and 20 from Kosovo, have participated at Podim conference in Maribor, as part of the training for young entrepreneurs. Participants were selected based on an application in which they presented their start-up, while a group of experts has assessed the originality of the idea and its presentation. 10 teams from BiH and 8 from Kosovo were chosen to participate.

An international conference Podim has concluded by selection of a start-up of the year, which 45HC.com has been chosen to be. One of our young teams, which we brought from BiH and Kosovo as part of the “Empowering BiH and Kosovo’s young entrepreneurs” has made it to the semi-finals. Team HUM – Zag App did a great job. Podim itself has been rated as extremely successful, bringing new knowledge and as a great opportunity for their entrepreneurial idea.

After the official end of the conference 50 young entrepreneurs left for Ljubljana, where today, on 13th of May 2016 an interesting programme has waited for them at Jable castle and ABC Accelerator of Slovenia. Participants were initially greeted by Nina Čepon, project manager, who welcomed the participants and shortly presented the work of CEP. Further on, dr. Gorazd Justinek CEP Executive director, greeted the participants and showed his appreciation of pro-activity and self-initiative of the participants. Programme continued with short presentation made by Peter Grk from MFA, coordinator for Western Balkans, who clarified Slovenian activities in the Western Balkans as part of the Positive agenda for youth and also presented the idea of opening a Regional office for youth in Tirana, which will serve for knowledge and information exchange for youth.

After the formal agenda participants got a chance to discuss things in a more informal setting. A fruitful debated emerged regarding the importance of participating at such conferences, especially for those people that come from less developed environment and have less opportunities for meeting with potential investors.
After lunch participants left for ABC Accelerator, where they learnt about their work and what kind of advantages being part of this kind of organizations brings, while possibilities of becoming a part of it was also presented.MRSS znak manjsi
