Within the framework of the International Development Cooperation of the Republic of Slovenia the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) will carry out the first out of three modules of training in 2014 in Albania called "Strengthen the capacity of Albanian Representatives on the Local Level for Absorbtion of EU funds". The training will be held between 9 and 10 October at the municipalty of Fier, Albania. The training is aimed for representatives of regional and local authorities, and representatives of other public institutions which are dealing with development.



Serbian criminal police leadership worked hand in hand with Slovenian colleagues on planning reforms of fighting organised crime from 23 to 26 September 2014. The activity took place in Serbia, mainly on the territory of Police Administration Užice, after successful study visit of Serbian colleagues in Slovenia.
Successful cooperation between Slovenia and Serbia in the area of reforms of fighting organised crime continues in Serbia from 23 to 26 September 2014. After productive working visit in Slovenia at the end of June 2014, the leadership of Serbian and Slovenian Criminal Police supported by strategic management experts will continue the exchange of experiences and solutions. Main topics of discussion and activities are related to management of change and Slovenian experiences in reform processes of police which are ahead of Serbia in the process of accession to the EU. The support of Slovenia to the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia in the field of reform is important for Serbia's accession to the EU as it is fight against organised crime as well as wider area of justice, freedom and security which is identified as a priority reform of Serbia's membership of the EU.
We are happy to announce that the ninth Bled Strategic Forum 2014 has successfully been concluded.
The ninth edition of the Bled Strategic Forum, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for European Perspective, will be taking place on 1 and 2 September. Under the title The Power of Trust, the conference will focus on the global lack of trust, which is an inextricable part of well-functioning societies, the philosophy of leadership, contemporary challenges of cyber security and global demographic change, regional challenges of Central Europe and Western Balkans as well as hidden dimensions of international relations, with the issue of tourism included.
