On Thursday, 11 June 2009 at 20.00, the book »Izidor Cankar – A Diplomat of Two Yugoslavias«, written by Dr. Andrej Rahten, will be presented in the Škrabec homestead barn in the village Hrovača. A conversation with the author of the book, Dr. Rahten and the chief editor of the book series Studia Diplomatica Slovenica, experienced diplomat and a Constitutional Court judge, Dr. Ernest Petrič will be conducted by historian and author of the foreword to the book, Ddr. Igor Grdina.We cordially invite possible contributions to the first issue of European Perspectives. The inaugural issue of the new scientific journal European Perspectives will be released in the fall of 2009 and will be announced at this year's Bled Strategic Forum, August 30–31, 2009. The central topic of this issue is "The Western Balkans: 20 Years After the End of the Cold War".

Centre for European Perspective (CEP), together with other Slovenian organizations, engaged in international development aid issues, will present its activities at this year’s European Development Days. This year’s topic will be citizenship and development with a particular emphasis on democracy, climate change and financial crisis. European Development Days will take place between 22 and 24 October in Stockholm. The organizers are European Commission and Swedish EU Presidency.
