3. oktobra, ob letošnji stoletnici poučevanja slovenskega jezika, so v Neaplju odprli mednarodni simpozij "Stoletnica slovenskega jezika na Orientale", na katerem so slovenski in tuji jezikoslovci z različnih vidikov obravnavali težave in izzive slovenskega jezika v današnjem času. Simpozij so odprli rektorica neapeljske univerze "L'Orientale" Lida Viganoni, veleposlanik Republike Slovenije v Italijanski republiki Iztok Mirošič, direktor Oddelka za književne, jezikovne in komparativne študije Salvatore Luongo, in lektorica slovenskega jezika na katedri za slovenski jezik Aleksandra Žabjek. V avli, kjer poteka simpozij, je slovenski veleposlanik Mirošič odprl razstavo slovenskega akademskega slikarja Franca Goloba iz Nove Gorice.

Within the framework of the International Development Cooperation of the Republic of Slovenia the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) will carry out the first out of three modules of training in 2014 in Albania called "Strengthen the capacity of Albanian Representatives on the Local Level for Absorbtion of EU funds". The training will be held between 9 and 10 October at the municipalty of Fier, Albania. The training is aimed for representatives of regional and local authorities, and representatives of other public institutions which are dealing with development.

Within the project of CEP entitled ‟Help to Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish European Union standards in the field of safe and quality food" and International developmental cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, a laboratory training will be organised from 7th to 10th October 2014 at the JU Veterinarski zavod Bihać of Bihać. The scope of a training of the five home analysts will be introduction and validation of the analytical method for determination of nitrofurane metabolites i.e. AOZ, AMOZ, AHD and SEM in eggs, using ELISA kits. The training will be performed by Vesna Cerkvenik Flajs, PhD.

Serbian criminal police leadership worked hand in hand with Slovenian colleagues on planning reforms of fighting organised crime from 23 to 26 September 2014. The activity took place in Serbia, mainly on the territory of Police Administration Užice, after successful study visit of Serbian colleagues in Slovenia.
