Cooperation of Slovenia and Serbia in the area of reforms of fighting organised crime continues

20140922 125715Successful cooperation between Slovenia and Serbia in the area of reforms of fighting organised crime continues in Serbia from 23 to 26 September 2014. After productive working visit in Slovenia at the end of June 2014, the leadership of Serbian and Slovenian Criminal Police supported by strategic management experts will continue the exchange of experiences and solutions. Main topics of discussion and activities are related to management of change and Slovenian experiences in reform processes of police which are ahead of Serbia in the process of accession to the EU. The support of Slovenia to the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia in the field of reform is important for Serbia's accession to the EU as it is fight against organised crime as well as wider area of justice, freedom and security which is identified as a priority reform of Serbia's membership of the EU.

CEP continues assistnce to veternary laboratories in BiH

DSCN0795Within the project of CEP entitled ‟Help to Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish European Union standards in the field of safe and quality food" and International developmental cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, a laboratory training will be organised at the JU Veterinarski institut Republike Srpske "Dr Vaso Butozan" of Banja Luka. The scope of a training of the five home analysts will be introduction and start of validation of the analytical method for determination of antibiotics tetracyclines in milk, using high performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometric detection (LC-MS/MS). The training will be performed by Vesna Cerkvenik Flajs, PhD.

Vistit of his Excellency Mr. Izotk Grmek, Ambassador of Reublic of Slovenia at Veterinarski zavod Bihać

DSCN0428On Wednesday, September the 10th, his Excellency Msc. Iztok Grmek, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will visit the city of Bihać and the JU Veterinarski zavod Bihać. This laboratory has been included for the second year into the CEP project and International development cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, entitled ‟Help to Bosnia and Herzegovina at establishment European Union standards for safe and quality food". The scope of the training of five laboratory analysts in Bihać is introduction and validation of the analytical method for determination of nitrofurane metabolites in eggs. The JU Veterinarski zavod Bihać is the first analytical veterinary laboratory in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will introduce the analysis of these prohibited substances in food of animal origin, being the essential part of the official veterinary-sanitary monitoring of food. These analyses have been so far outsourced to foreign laboratories.

The 2nd High-Level Symposium of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries successfully concluded

BSF 3 KitajciThe Symposium that was focused on the possibilities and prospects of future cooperation between Central and East European Countries and China was successfully concluded. The Symposium, where many specific proposals to improve multilateral cooperation were raised was attended by CEP CEO Dr. Gorazd Justinek and CEP's executive board member and president Mr. Koprol who participated as a speaker.
