As part of the EU preparations for a new comprehensive foreign policy and security strategy, which will replace the current European Security Strategy from 2003, Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Office of the President of the Republic, Centre for European Perspective, Office of the European Commission in Slovenia and European Union Institute for Security Studies organized a public debate on 21st of March 2016.
An EU Global Strategy 2016 Outreach and Consultation Event

The European Union is currently working on the elaboration of a comprehensive Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy to steer the Union's action in an increasingly connected, contested and complex international environment. In the run-up to this strategy Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, has launched a strategic reflection process. This process includes a series of outreach and consultation events in the EU Member States.
A workshop entitled "Strengthening the Independence of Election Management Bodies; Exchange of Experiences between Albania and Slovenia," took place yesterday in the framework of the second phase of a joint project between the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) and the Central Election Commission.
During the recent visit to Kosovo, CEP renewed its close ties with Kosovo Ministry of Public Administration. CEP and Kosovo have a long history of bilateral cooperation in the framework of the Slovenian Official Development Cooperation, which is financed through the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On March 10th, Kosovo Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Mahir Yagcilar met with Project Manager Ivana Boštjančič Pulko and discussed past, current and future cooperation with CEP.
