Preparation of the Slovenia’s Development Strategy has been one of the most important priorities of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. We are in a time of extreme turbulence accompanied by rapid changes that require comprehensive and long term-vision of Slovenia 2050 that will define how to be respond properly and in due time. Government Office for Development and European Cohesion policy in collaboration with the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development and the Ministry of Finance were authorized to start the preparation process of the Slovenia’s Vision 2050. This preparation process aims to encourage the representatives of Slovenia’s society to actively partake in the process of co-deciding and co-planning Slovenia’s future.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Members of the eRegions on the New eAmber and New eSilk Roads Think Tank together with the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) are organising the Regional Meeting of Think Tanks of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in the framework of the cooperation program of the Think Tanks from Central and Eastern European Countries and China. The Meeting will be held at Castle Jable on 15 March 2016.

Yesterday, 2 March 2016, conference on the occasion of the 25 years anniversary of the Visegrad Group, was organised by the Czech V4 Presidency in Vienna.

Montenegro launched negotiations with the EU in June 2012. So far, screening process has been completed in all thirty-three negotiation chapters. Negotiations have been opened in sixteen chapters (4 – Free Movement of Capital, 5 – Public Procurement, 6 – Company Law, 7 – Intellectual Property Law, 10 – Information Society and Media, 18 – Statistics, 20 – Enterprise and Industrial Policy, 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, 24 – Justice, Freedom and Security, 25 – Science and Research, 26 – Education and Culture, 28 – Consumer and Health Protection, 29 – Customs Union, 31 – Foreign, Security and Defence Policy, 32 – Financial Control and 33 – Financial and budgetary provisions), out of which two chapters (25 – Science and Research and 26 – Education and Culture) are provisionally closed.
