Montenegro launched negotiations with the EU in June 2012. So far, screening process has been completed in all thirty-three negotiation chapters. Negotiations have been opened in sixteen chapters (4 – Free Movement of Capital, 5 – Public Procurement, 6 – Company Law, 7 – Intellectual Property Law, 10 – Information Society and Media, 18 – Statistics, 20 – Enterprise and Industrial Policy, 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, 24 – Justice, Freedom and Security, 25 – Science and Research, 26 – Education and Culture, 28 – Consumer and Health Protection, 29 – Customs Union, 31 – Foreign, Security and Defence Policy, 32 – Financial Control and 33 – Financial and budgetary provisions), out of which two chapters (25 – Science and Research and 26 – Education and Culture) are provisionally closed.
