Director of the Directorate for Civil-Military Planning in the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU Mika-Markus Leinonen visited CEP. CEP Programme Director, Andreja Dolničar Jeraj, welcomed Leinonen and presented the CEP's work done for the Core Course for the secondments of civilian personnel in international civilian missions.
On Tuesday in Ohrid started the 3rd module of the training project "EU Negotiations: Techniques, Skills and Content" organized by the Centre for European Perspective in cooperation with the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. This 3rd module is a continuation of the training module entitled "Negotiating with the European Union" and aims to further improve the effective presentation of Macedonian stands in the process of EU negotiations taking into account negotiation techniques and public speaking skills in the chapter of taxation.
At a press conference held today, the Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Žbogar, expressed his satisfaction with this year's Bled Strategic Forum. The two-day event which, according to the Minister, represents a great success for the two main organisers – the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for European Perspective – was attended by more than 400 participants from 40 different countries.
The Project Group for Research on the Diplomatic History of Central and South East Europe, Studia diplomatica Slovenica has published a new book by Dr. Ernest Petrič, "Foreign Policy – Basic Theory and Practice", which belongs to the Monographie series. Dr. Petrič has succeeded in bringing together his theoretical and practical knowledge about international relations in this new monograph, which has been reviewed by Dr. Andrej Rahten. Centre for European Perspective hosted the inter-ministerial working meeting on the implementation of the Strategy for cooperation of the Republic of Slovenia in international civilian missions and training for public servants for secondments in the international civilian crisis missions. The meeting was intended for representatives of all Ministries of the Republic of Slovenia, governmental offices and bodies affiliated to the Ministries. Its main objective was to encourage participants of the meeting to second civil servants to the civilian missions and to participate in the training for civil servants for secondments that CEP will implement in October this year.
