Slovene Experts Successfully Completed the Continuation of the First Training for the Border Police of the Republic of Serbia

srbija2On Tuesday a two-day workshop on "Creating an Ethical Work Environment" successfully ended in Belgrade, Serbia. The project was prepared by the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia and Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, which has requested the training in the framework of Slovenia's International Development Cooperation. The training was the third activity in line of trainings and workshops CEP organized for Serbian police and was designed for executive police officials.

Kosovo customs officers gathered new knowledge and experiences at Slovene border crossing point Obrežje

kosovo10After a two day training at the Centre for European Perspective a group of high customs officers from Kosovo visited international boarder crossing point Obrežje. They joined their Slovene colleagues at their daily work at the border crossing point to practise a newly gained knowledge also in the field. The training has finished today with finalising concrete proposals and recommendations for risk analysis to speed up import customs clearance and improve detection results.

CEP continues assisting Macedonian Customs in EU negotiations

makedonja4From 17 to 20 May 2011 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, the 4th training module "EU Negotiations: Techniques, Skills and Content" took place, organized by the Centre for European Perspective in cooperation with the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. The main aim of the training was to prepare a draft version of the final position paper on the acquis communautaire chapter on taxation for the Macedonian team to negotiate with the European Commission.

Deputy prime-minister of Vojvodina Barjaktarović visited CEP

Administrative Director of the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) Andrej Vrčon and CEP Programme Director Andreja Dolničar Jeraj hosted Deputy Prime Minister of Vojvodina and Regional Secretary for interregional cooperation Boris Barjaktarović at Jable Castle.

Barjaktarović, dr. Aleksandra Stanković, Representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and CEP hosts discussed possibilities of co-operation and assistance to the approximation of EU. Since 2009, CEP successfully cooperates with Serbia, particularly in the area of internal affairs.
