International staff often operates in unstable and dangerous environments: armed conflict, organised crime, theft, assault, hostage taking, etc. The most important duty of care of states and organisations, sending their personnel to dangerous environments, is to assure their safety and security. Hostile environment awareness training (HEAT) presents a fundamental training for anyone working in risk-associated, insecure or hostile environment.



Migrations, involvement and activities in NATO all tackle different aspects of security of a country or any other actor and therefore, in the sense of realpolitik, represent one of the main concerns and priorities of different actors in international community.
On 6 July 2016, Centre for European Perspective hosted the round table with the title “Days Before – New Security Challenges" which was the last one in the project financed by the Embassy of the United States in Ljubljana in the framework of the NGO Small Grant.
On 6-7 June 2016, a meeting with high representatives of state authorities was held in Belgrade, which initiated successfully an active involvement of stakeholders of public administration of Republic of Serbia in the two-year International Development Assistance project of Republic of Slovenia with Republic of Serbia.
