Centre for European Perspective (CEP), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Slovenian Armed Forces, begins training for 27 leading representatives of the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro in the field of gender equality (22 – 25 September 2015, Podgorica)
The aim of the four-day training is to strengthen the institutions of Montenegro in the field of gender equality. The principle of gender equality is defined in various international documents as a principle to be complied with by all member states of international organizations such as the European Union, United Nations and the Council of Europe. These documents emphasize that gender equality should not be seen as sameness or similarity between women and men, but as the acceptance of differences and diversity among women and men, as well as the same valuation of these differences and social roles. The policy of gender equality advocates partnership between men and women and the division of responsibilities in eliminating imbalances in public and private life.
