The Centre for European perspective (CEP) was today visited by the group of participants of the Mediterranean Summer School of Theoretical and Applied Humanities. The participants were welcomed by the CEP Secretary General Andrej Vrčon and CEP Programme Director Andreja Dolničar Jeraj. Ms Andreja Horvat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia joined as a special guest.
The Advisory Board of the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) gathered in Vila Bled. The gathering was attended by the president of Jackovich International and former Ambassador of the USA in Slovenia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Victor Jackovich, co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, Goran Svilanović, and Director of the Foreign Policy Platform at the Istanbul Kültür University, Murat Bilhan.
The Night-Owl Session addressed the question of business opportunities and trade cooperation among Western Balkan countries as well as increased economic cooperation with other European countries (EU, EFTA and Turkey). Prof. Dr Andrej Kumar of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana was a chair to the debate among Dr Besim Beqaj, President of the Kosova Chamber of Commerce, Dr Jelica Minić, Deputy Secretary General and Head of Expert Pool at Regional Cooperation Council in Sarajevo, Dr Višnja Samardžija, Head of Department for European Integration at the Institute for International Relations from Zagreb and Mr Marko Voljč, Chief Executive Officer of K&H Bank Ltd. from Budapest as well as the other participants of the late session, which took place in a very relaxed atmosphere.
The Round table discussion titled "Before and After the Financial Crisis: The Question of Values" addressed the issues of our social values, along with appeals to adopt a new approach to the organization of economic activity as a result of the current financial crisis.
Center for European perspective (CEP) hosts Training of consular agents from Bosnia and Herzegovina on the introduction of biometric passports. Two-day training has been organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia in cooperation with the Center for European Perspective. The training programme is about Slovenia assisting Bosnia and Herzegovina in meeting the standards for visa liberalization.
Centre for European Perspective (CEP) is preparing the project "Intercultural Challenge" which is planned in the framework of the cycle "Educational Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina". The project starts in September 2009. Deadline for Proposal Submissions is 27 October 2009.

The training course on international negotiations and public speaking skills entitled »The International negotiations – Techniques and Skills« has been organized by Center for European Perspective (CEP) and Ministry of Public Services of Republic of Kosovo.
On 22nd September 2009, the Project Group for Studying the Diplomatic History of Central and South-East Europe presented the book series "Studia Diplomatica Slovenica" at the premises of the Slovenian Scientific Institute in Vienna. The book series was presented by the Center for European Perspective in cooperation with the Slovenian Scientific Institute, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Vienna and the Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU).
Workshop on Implementation and Potential Effects of SAP+ Cumulation began today in Bečići, Montenegro. The Workshop is organised by the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with CEFTA Presidency – Montenegro and CEFTA Secretariat. It will take place from 6-8 October 2009.
