Centre for European Perspective (CEP) is organizing four day 'Train-the-Trainer' workshop held in Centre for European Perspective (CEP) headquarters, Jable castle, Slovenia, from 2 to 5 November 2011. The main objective of the workshop is to provide trainees with necessary skills and knowledge to prepare and deliver Civilian Crisis Management (CCM) trainings (both academic and practical part of training activities).



On Friday, a five day training for the representatives of the Traffic Police of the Republic of Serbia ended in Belgrade. The training, titled "Creating a Positive Working Environment for High Quality and Professional Work", was organised by the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia.

Administrative Director of the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) Andrej Vrčon and CEP Programme Director Andreja Dolničar Jeraj hosted today a delegation of high governmental representatives of the Republic of Kosovo at Jable Castle.
Centre for European Perspective in cooperation with Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia organized fifth training in the framework of project Negotiations with the EU: Techniques, Skills and Content. Training titled 'Negotiations on excise duties on tobacco' concluded two year cycle of tailor made workshops that gathered public servants from Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Secretariat for European Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia.

On Tuesday a two-day workshop on "Creating an Ethical Work Environment" successfully ended in Belgrade, Serbia. The project was prepared by the Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Slovenia and Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, which has requested the training in the framework of Slovenia's International Development Cooperation. The training was the third activity in line of trainings and workshops CEP organized for Serbian police and was designed for executive police officials.
After a two day training at the Centre for European Perspective a group of high customs officers from Kosovo visited international boarder crossing point Obrežje. They joined their Slovene colleagues at their daily work at the border crossing point to practise a newly gained knowledge also in the field. The training has finished today with finalising concrete proposals and recommendations for risk analysis to speed up import customs clearance and improve detection results.
From 17 to 20 May 2011 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, the 4th training module "EU Negotiations: Techniques, Skills and Content" took place, organized by the Centre for European Perspective in cooperation with the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia. The main aim of the training was to prepare a draft version of the final position paper on the acquis communautaire chapter on taxation for the Macedonian team to negotiate with the European Commission.
The two day training on Export Control of Dual-Use Goods started today in Pristina. 21 Kosovo Customs officers from different units of Kosovo Customs Administration are attending the training conducted by Slovene experts on Dual-Use Goods. "Slovenian experiences are very valuable for us, specially as efficient Customs is an important pillar of the Public Administration," stressed Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Kosovo Edita Tahiri.
