In last week of September (24 – 28.9.2012) twenty Kosovo custom officers from the headquarters in Pristine as well as from all mail border crossings participated at highly intensive training on risk analysis. This was third training Kosovo Customs and CEP organized together. Main purpose of the training was to find ways to improve risk analysis procedures to, on one hand, shorten customs procedures to facilitate economic activities and, on the other hand, to protect citizens and ensure that all customs regulations are respected.



The third training module within the project "Training for public administration in BiH for Europe" started in Sarajevo on 9 of July 2012 with the preparatory meeting of representatives of responsible governmental and entity bodies, authorized veterinary laboratories for analytical methods, the representatives of UNDP, Slovenian expert dr. Vesna Cerkvenik-Flajs and Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia H.E. Andrew Grasselli.
This year's seventh Bled Strategic Forum will be the held from 2 to 3 of September 2012 in Bled, Slovenia. This annual event will be a meeting of politicians, businessmen and other professionals involved in strategic challenges of the future. Topics at the Forum will be financial crisis, different ways of promoting economic growth, Arab revolutions and developments in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
In the scope of the project "European Affairs Training for Public Administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina" second module titled "General Course on European Affairs" refined. Understanding of the European Union (EU) and its institutions, law, processes and politics in BiH is very poor. Due to this fact on the request of Direction for European Integration and Council of Ministers of BiH, Centre for European Perspective (CEP) in cooperation with Embassy of Republic of Slovenia in BiH and Delegation of European Union in Sarajevo, prepared a training project on European Affairs for Public Administration in BiH.
Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Montenegro hosted the kick off meeting related to the IPA 2009 Twinning Project Fiche "Harmonization and implementation of the regulations of Labour Inspection and Safety at Work" on 29 March 2012.
The four days pre-deployment training course Kosovo finished today with a comprehensive role play simulation situated in the Kosovo North environment.
The Centre for European Perspective together with Slovenian Ministry of Interior/Police, its key partner, started conducting the second Core Course for civil servants to be seconded to international civilian missions, at the Police Training Centre in Gotenica, today. A comprehensive and EU standardized course (according to the standard curricula outline as stated in the Council document 16849/2006) is designed to enable the civil servants to acquire the knowledge and skills in the field of crisis prevention and management, roles of other actors on the ground (e.g. UN, OSCE, COE, NGOs etc.), mission working environment, field work techniques (project management, monitoring, reporting etc.), hazards on the ground, personal health, stress management and more. The Core Course is aimed to train the participants for concrete and professional work in the mission through the context of mission mandates and rules of the EU civilian crisis management. The Core Course will end on 19 November 2011.
